iSync phone plugin for Motorola RAZR V3x and V3xv

This plugin should allow the Motorola RAZR V3x and V3xv to be accessible by iSync 2.1.1 on Mac OS X 10.4.5 or iSync 2.2 on Mac OS X 10.4.6

IMPORTANT UPDATE: A user has alerted me to a serious incompatibility of this plugin. If you have your phone set to list contacts in order of their last name, during synchronisation you may have problems with duplicates appearing on your phone and/or erasing of data in your address book and/or the first name and last name fields being swapped on the phone.

In short, to enable syncing of your RAZR V3x, you need to have your RAZR V3x's address book set to view contacts ordered by their first name.

Step 1
Download the appropriate plugin and double click to uncompress.

Download RAZRV3x.phoneplugin.1.0.zip - RAZRV3x.phoneplugin for Mac OS X 10.4.5 and iSync 2.1.1
Download RAZRV3x.phoneplugin.1.1.zip - RAZRV3x.phoneplugin for Mac OS X 10.4.6 and iSync 2.2
Step 2
Take the plugin and copy it to the directory /Library/PhonePlugins, if that directory does not exist just create it. You could put also try putting it into your user directory library instead if you wish.
Step 3
Quit iSync if it is open.
Step 4
If your phone is already paired via Bluetooth, there is no need to delete and re-pair it. If it isn't, go through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant process (via System Preferences -> Bluetooth -> Devices Tab -> Set up new device...), if you do this you can skip the next step as it will happen automatically.

Alternatively, you can connect via USB.
Step 5
Launch iSync and go to the menu item Devices -> Add device.... Your RAZR V3x or V3xv should be found.
Step 6

Of course, this software comes with absolutely no warranty.

This software has only been tested on a PowerBook with built-in bluetooth running Mac OS 10.4.5 using iSync 2.1.1 and Mac OS 10.4.6 using iSync 2.2 - your mileage may vary.
